We’ve all wanted to do it, we’ve all done it, we’ve heard a song the DJ is playing and wanted to say, that’s just not it.
Unfortunately for the career of Radio 1 DJ Arielle Free, she did that on air on someone else’s show.
Charlie Hedges’ was running his Dance Anthems Ibiza show on Sunday July 30th when Free appeared as a guest, but when ‘My Barn, My Rules’ by MCR-T and horsegiirL was played she immediately said “Can I be honest with you Charlie? I expected better of you. I don’t like this song…I hate it.”
“Sorry, I’m taking your mic down,” Hedges replied. “It’s my show, Arielle, have some respect, please.”
Free didn’t appear on the show again, and has now been taken off air by the station for the next week, presumably while a stream of execs shout at her.
Obviously, you now want to hear the song and the clip. Instant Supajam review: it slaps.
