Ken Bruce and Steve Wright had large and happy audiences on BBC Radio 2, and they didn’t want to go anywhere, but where thrown out by the station in a youth movement. Well let’s see how that’s gone…

The station has lost a million listeners, which is an awful lot for a British radio show, and it’s got so bad they’ve had to pack pedal and invite Steve Wright back to do Pick of the Pops.

“Gambo brilliantly made it his own over the last seven-and-a-half years, and now it’s my chance to give it a go!” Wright said, “It’s a great privilege to present such an iconic show on Radio 2, and Pick of the Pops fans don’t worry – it’s going be the same and different at the same time.”
