The Razzies, aka the Golden Raspberries, are a pisstake of the Oscars which award the worst performances and movies each year. The 2021 awards included Bruce Willis getting his own category of Worst Bruce Willis, with eight of his films nominated. Cosmic Sin won.
Of course, the Razzies had no idea Bruce made these movies suffering from aphasia, a brain disorder that’s caused him to retire, and they feel pretty shitty about it. So shitty, they’re cancelling the award:
After “much thought and consideration…If someone’s medical condition is a factor in their decision making and/or their performance, we acknowledge that it is not appropriate to give them a Razzie.” They also said they were “truly sorry for Bruce Willis diagnosed condition”, and “perhaps this explains why he wanted to go out with a bang in 2021.”
“Our best wishes to Bruce and family.” Well done Razzies.
