When Taylor Swift found her masters in the hands of someone she had strong reasons to dislike, she embarked on a campaign to rerecord everything and keep the rights for herself. This has led to a string of hit albums.
However, record labels are reacting to this. Reports are coming out of major label contracts which explicitly ban an artist rerecording for up to thirty years.
