Forbes publishes a list of all the billionaires in the world, and let’s be honest that doesn’t often cross over with a website that’s mainly about music. However, amongst this year’s 2,668 billionaires (combined wealth twelve point seven trillion dollars), are some interesting people: Rihanna, Jay Z and Kanye West.
Rihanna debuts on the list, but it isn’t here because of her music, but mostly because of her pioneering investments in the Savage X Fenty underwear and Fenty Beauty businesses, and she’s now the richest female musician in the world with a fortune of $1.7 billion (well, according to Forbes’ number crunchers.) This puts her at 1,729th richest person in the world.
Jay Z is at 2,076 with a worth of $1.4 billion, and Kanye – despite going increasingly insane – is at number 1,513. No surprises for guessing the tops spots are taken by Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.
