September 10th will see the release of The Metallics Blacklist, a 53 track compilation of covers, all of songs from Metallica’s The Black Album. This is to celebrate thirty years since it’s release, which is both a fun project and making us feel old.
Today we have a cut from Rina Sawayama, who’s bravely taken on one of the bands most famous songs: Enter Sandman. She’s kept it fairly heavy but added more light and shade, and it’s a good cover and a nice change from the original.
Of course, no one’s missing the chance to rerelease The Black Album as a huge deluxe box set too.
