Bernard Cribbins has died aged 93, an age and career which means there’s probably no one reading this who doesn’t have found childhood memories of him from at least one era.
He narrated The Wombles, he starred as no less than two different Doctor Who companions for two different generations, her performed songs and I have to be honest, I can’t think of anyone else who was as brilliant as moving between infectious humour and complete pathos instantly as Bernard.
