Dustin Diamond may have had a troubled ‘post fame’ career, but for millions of people he is instantly recognisable from their childhoods as TV character Screech in Saved By The Bell. Sadly, he has died aged just 44.
He suffered a fast spreading cancer which was only diagnosed three weeks, a carcinoma.
“He was diagnosed with this brutal, relentless form of malignant cancer only three weeks ago,” his agent Roger Paul said to Rolling Stone. “In that time, it managed to spread rapidly throughout his system; the only mercy it exhibited was its sharp and swift execution. Dustin did not suffer. He did not have to lie submerged in pain. For that, we are grateful.”
