Meat Loaf, aka Marvin Lee Aday, has passed away. He was aged 74 and died with his family; a cause of death has not been released. Meat Loaf was one of the greatest rock showmen of them all, performing a bombastic style of music that included many a revving engine.
His breakthrough debit, Bat Out of Hell, remains one of the best selling albums ever, but we’re bringing you today our favourite: the classic I Would Do Anything For Love But I Won’t Do That. A song as great for it’s music as it was for making people argue about what he’d do (even though it’s in the song).
Meat went on to carve out a quality acting career and a reputation as one of the good guys.
