Roger Daltrey curated the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs until he recently retired, but when he did so he promised he’d be handing the reins over to quality.

He wasn’t wrong, as the 2026 instalment will be curated by The Cure’s Robert Smith.

Smith has form: he’s played their shows, he’s worked behind the scenes and he’s curated Meltdown Festival, so we’re confidant he’ll do well.

He told press “Teenage Cancer Trust does the most fantastic work, and it is a great honour – and a real thrill – to be asked to curate the 2026 shows at the Royal Albert Hall. I can promise it will be a very memorable week!”
