This year Radio 1’s ‘Big Weekend’ festival will take place in Liverpool and it’s got some great acts.

Sam Fender is headlining and that’s worth anyone’s money.

They’ve also got Blossoms and Wet Leg, as well as Myles Smith and Lola Young.

There’s over a hundred acts performing over the weekend, so there should be something for everyone, but this is a great start.

Of special interest to lovers of big events, the show is in Liverpool on the same weekend Liverpool play their final premier league match. Maybe they’ve won by then, maybe this is a day of tension and celebration.
