You may recall that a few weeks ago the Simpsons did a spoof of the Smiths, with Lisa liking an 80s British indie band called the Snuffs, and it’s Morrissey mocking singer Quilloughby. Clearly they needed music for this, and Flight of the Conchords Bret McKenzie co wrote ‘Everyone is Horrid Except Me (And Possibly You).
On the show, this was sung by the voice actors: Yeardley Smith for Lisa, and actual Benedict Cumberbatch for Morrissey, sorry we mean Quilloughby. Morrissey hated the whole thing which means it’s good, and the song is now getting an official release with the same singers on streaming.
How good a spoof is it? Very good.
