Jarvis Cocker’s latest incarnation, the ‘Jarv Is…’ project, released their album a few weeks ago, and we didn’t spend long with it then because we found the overall sound depressing. Not because it was bad, it’s filled with classic moments, but the vibe from the instruments.
We revisited ‘Beyond the Pale’ again this weekend, possibly because the vibe was now right, and were particularly taken mid Covid 2020 with ‘Am I Missing Something?’, a song whose titular question everyone is wondering right now.
