The 1975 caused absolute chaos for the Good Vibes Festival when Matt Healy made a protest against the countries anti gay laws by kissing a man on stage… and then flew home, while the local organisers were faced with a colossal shitstorm which saw the festival cancelled, vendors out of money and everyone in legal danger.
The organisers of Good Vibes Festival are now suing the band for £1.9 million. You can’t swear, drink or smoke onstage or talk about politics and religion, and this is all agreed in the rules beforehand. You also can’t snog a guy then waltz off.
Other musicians and vendors are also suing the band for lost earnings.
