Bands touring have come under fire in the big climate change debate as not really being the best way to spend our collapsing ecosystem, but now a music festival aims to add more to the debate than it takes.
Step forward The Big Climate Thing Festival which takes place in New York from September 16th to 18th. The aim is to mix great bands with debate, speeches, shows, and massive fuindraising, while making sure the carbon footprint is clearly minimised. Profits will go to EarthPercent, a charity that seeks to raise $100 million from the music industry for climate projects.
