The Cure recently toured North American with their ‘Shows Of A Lost World’ gigs, and despite being an long tenured band and pushing for cheaper ticket sales for everyone, the tours have turned into the most successful of their career.
This is according to maths, and Billboard reports the 35 dates grossed $37.5million (£29million) and sold over 547,000 tickets. The most attended and highest-earning shows were the band’s three nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. These three earned $4.9million.
Their previous record was 402,000 tickets sold during the North American Wish tour back in 1992.
A band very much still going.
