Over the weekend, both Foals and The Strokes were at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow when Yannis Philippakis tweeted “Hey one of the 5 unnecessary tour managers of @thestrokes come meet me in catering & eat my ass,” which led many to think there’d been a bust up. I mean it certainly looked like a bust up.
A bit later Yannis replied to a tweet suggesting he’d refused to show his pass when watching at the side of the stage, revealing “They had a closed stage: invited us up, handed out stage passes. Asked me to show mine, no problem showed it to get on stage to security & tm he then came over & was berating me for not having stuck it on within the minute.”
One of the said your managers Instagrammed back “You need to at least buy me dinner first”.
Oh, so it was a bust up, just not with the band!
