The Mercury Prize shortlist has the usual mix of popular and obscure

It’s Mercury Music Prize time, and you know what that means: a sprinkling of big hits albums, and some really obscure stuff. So stand forward Dua Lipa, Charli XCX and Stormzy with the big bangers, while the rest benefit from some actual media exposure.

The winner will be announced September 24th. They hope to have acts performing at the reveal.
