In a world without Covid, the National would have toured Europe in the middle of last year, but as things went everything was cancelled and rescheduled to May and June this year. Now, with Covid still a threat and causing ever more chaos in Europe, these dates have been changed again: some have been rescheduled, some will be with a later announcement.

“We are excited to announce the first set of rescheduled dates for our UK and European shows in 2022,” they tweeted. “We look forward to seeing everyone next year. Until then, please stay safe.”

So far, we have five dates for 2022:

June 5 Limerick, The Docklands Festival
June 6 Cork, Live At The Marquee
June 7 Belfast, Botanic Gardens
June 10 Stockholm, Rosendal, Djurgården
June 18 Lisbon, Rock In Rio

Ticket holders of the Brixton Academy dates set to take place in May 2021 have been told the event’s cancelled, and are currently awaiting to see if this means properly cancelled or just being pushed to next year. Confusion reigns.
