Okay, hold up, we’re going to say it: we’re still excited for more Alien movies, and we’re definitely looking forward to the next one, which is a stand alone directed by Fede Álvarez, who did an Evil Dead movie. He’s co-written the script, and Ridley Scott is producing. We’re ready. We know we’re not in a majority here.

The movie now has an official release date: August 16 2024, although the entirely justified Writer’s Guild strike might affect that.
