Far right US presidential candidate, and governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis is intent on winding the clock back a few hundred years when it comes to rights, and he recently aired a campaign video that featured footage from Peaky Blinders.

The video was designed to be homophobic and win support among bigots, which is DeSantis’ MO, and has drawn a strong reaction from Peaky Blinders’ creator Steven Knight, and lead actor Cillian Murphy who is sadly visible in the video:
