The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the latest entrant in the ‘how long can LA’s giant white elephant stay running’ sweepstakes, as it is to be shown at the Sphere.

The Rocky Horror audience already has a great deal of interaction with the movie, but the Sphere hope to use technology to put the movie on a 160,000 square foot curved screen and keep it looking good.

As they put it “Since The Rocky Horror Picture Show premiered in 1975, it redefined audience participation and became a cultural phenomenon. With Sphere, we have the opportunity to take that spirit of immersion to an entirely new level.”

Could be interesting. The Wizard of Oz has already completed a successful run.
