Saturday was National Album Day, and let’s face it, with the onslaught of single track streaming the album needs a bit of a boost.
To help celebrate the Official Charts company released a top 40 of the best selling rock and metal albums since the year 2000.
Place your guesses…
Green Day’s American Idiot was first with 2.6 million sales…
Linkin Park were second with Hybrid Theory…
You won’t guess…
Third was The Darkness! With Permission to Land. That’s a lot of cocaine.
Evanescence came fourth and Muse fifth. My Chemical Romance sixth, Nickelback seventh and ninth with Meteora as the sandwich filling, and Limp Bizkit’s Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdog Flavoured Water tenth.
