Stephen King has written a new TV adaption of his work, and JJ Abrams has produced, so you know episode one will be great and it will end really rubbishly. It’s called Lisey’s Story, with the titular character portrayed by Julianne Moore, and is coming on Apple TV+ so all of four people can watch it.
Speaking about how he wrote the screenplay from his own existing novel, King told a panel at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour: “Lisey’s Story means a lot to me because it’s the one I love best,” IndieWire recorded. “It’s a story about love and marriage and the creative impulse and also has a kick-ass villain in it. My idea is to be all the way in as much as possible… This is a passion project.”
