They’ve made a ‘less competitive’ version of Scrabble

We love a good board game, and old classic Scrabble is still a good time.

But not for everyone, apparently, as makers Mattel are relaunching Scrabble as a ‘less competitive game.’ The box will contain both the old and new versions.

Gyles Brandreth explained to the BBC: “The makers of Scrabble found that younger people, Gen Z people, don’t quite like the competitive nature of Scrabble… They want a game where you can simply enjoy language, words, being together and having fun creating words.”

The new game features help, prompts and clues.
