Tom Morello’s song ‘The War Inside’ has a guest vocal from Chris Stapleton, but when you listen you’ll be hard pressed not to invoke the memory of Chris Cornell. Morello and Cornell worked together a lot, of course, on Audioslave, but this could have been written for him.
Equally, it’s Morello doing a 80s rock ballad sound and doing it very well. Morello’s album The Atlas Underground Fire is out now.
