TikTok is primarily a video sharing platform, even though it’s had a huge impact on music thanks to songs being featured in said videos. Now TikTok seems to be taking the next step and creating a dedicated music streaming (and maybe sharing) service.

How do we know this? Insider have found that TikTok’s owners filed a trademark application in the US in May for ‘TikTok Music’, a service that let’s people play, buy and share music, livestream said content and share playlists.

Australia also has a patent for the same name, so we and everyone else feels pretty safe to conclude TikTok is indeed working on something big.
