Venerable electronic stars Orbital have started releasing mixes of their classic tracks, which both makes us feel very old and gives us a chance to hear them in a new form. This weekend we were playing the redo of Satan – officially the ’30 Something Years Later’ mix – and oh boy does it go in hard.
Given that over the years we’ve had the original, the live singles and the gig versions you might wonder how, all this time later, it can still sound fresh and quite frankly demands you jump about, and the answer is: those chaps have still got it.
There is a radio edit, but we don’t need that here.
