Tramlines Festival is scheduled to happen July 23rd to 25th in Sheffield, and it’s time for the organisers to spin the wheel marked ‘will the govt let it happen.’ Well, the news is…

…good, because they’ve been accepted into the third stage of the Events Research Programme and it’ll will be able to go ahead at full capacity.

This means Hillsborough Park will play host to Royal Blood and Richard Ashcroft among others. There are a couple of qualifications: either have had both vaccine shots 14 days before the festival, or get a negative lateral flow test result in the 48 hours before. Worth going to ‘grab a jab’ then.

Furthermore: “Once inside, there will be no need for social distancing and no one will have to wear a mask if they don’t want to. We would like to express our solidarity with those festivals which have not been able to go ahead this year and those which are still seeking clarity. It is very important to us that clear guidance is made available quickly to the entire event community so that as many festivals as possible can go ahead with confidence this summer.”

Feel free to snog and / or mosh then.
