Patricia Sullivan was the PA of Mike Jeffery, a man who among other things managed Jimi Hendrix from 1966 – 73. When Jeffery died Sullivan collected vital archive material which was going to be lost… including a bunch of unheard Jimi Hendrix demos.
They’ve been described as “These versions have never been heard before, circulated or broadcast and are very different in sound and length to the more common examples … a lot tighter and smoother. You can hear more guitar, which is obviously what Hendrix was famous for. The experts who have visited and heard the recordings all agree that these are far superior to all the other versions of these tracks.”
The auction is happening November 15th.
But there’s a catch.
A major catch.
Due to all the rights involved with Hendrix’ estate, you are only ever allowed to play these recordings in your own home, for free, to you.
No release, no renting out a theatre for a listening party.
