Will Smith has one loud explosion filled Independence Day in his past, and now he’s got a second. While the first was a movie, the second was the real life New Orleans firework display.
What are we talking about? It looked like funding issues would cancel New Orleans Independence Day fireworks, but Will Smith, who’s filming in the area, paid $100,000 for it to go ahead. Great stuff Will, but worth noting Will (who also produces the movie) picked New Orleans for filming after moving it out of Georgia following their racially motivated voting scandal.
