Peter Gabriel’s WOMAD festival (World of Music, Arts and Dance Festival) has been at Wiltshire’s Charlton Park since 2007, but changes are afoot.

Firstly, the event is skipping 2025, but will return in 2026 “fully charged.”

Secondly, they are leaving Charlton Park. The organisers hope to remain in Wiltshire and are talking to people there, but “If you look at our industry as a whole – things need to change, we can’t all carry on doing the same thing over and over again. Some of the changes we want to make would be difficult to make in the home we’ve had” and the new location needs to be “beautiful, part of the story – it’s got to contribute something to the festival.”
