Ariel Pink – added by Dam Funk on backing croons- drops a silky piece of seventies slow jam as a taster of forthcoming album Mature Themes. The track is a cover of a ’79 album cut from Donnie and Joe Emerson, and a quick youtubing reveals it to be a pretty faithful one (God bless you internet). In fact, it’s hard to distinguish between this and the original in any meaningful way at all. We’re basically living in the late 70s and punk never happened. Isn’t that great/ terrible (delete as to taste).
