Where ‘don’t need u’ enthrals is within its evolving texture. The whistles of ‘oos’ are soon juxtaposed by ‘Fitzpleasure’-type grimey synthesisers, creating a groundswell of depth. I adore the glimpses of distant guitars and vocals in the latter stages of the 5-minute number.
