London folk outfit Bear’s Den have just released a four track EP called ‘First Loves’, and we’re here to tell you it’s brilliant. There’s two outstanding songs in the form of Evelyn and Helen of Hammersmith Bridge, and two good ones make up the rest.

Obviously, a folk outfit singing about love means these are sad, heartbroken songs of tender love, and the group really gels brilliantly. Evelyn is faster than Helen, and they’re a great compliment to eat other. If you’re in the sort of relationships they describe, you’re going to find great catharsis. If you’re not, lucky you, you’ll enjoy it anyway.
