Black Manila have been holed up in Toe Rag Studios, infamous alchemist lair responsible for the White Stripes Elephant as well all the Billy Childish records Elephant
ripped off paid homage to. Toe Rag proves a perfect match for Black Manila, who dip into their bulging sack of garage rock swag and come up trumps again, with a song made entirely of bubblegum good times and bourbon throated yowling. Singer Gareth Hoskins sounds like he’s gonna do himself a proper bloody mischief if he keeps straining his pipes like this though. He sounds (in the best possible way) like a rabid dog passing a hot curry crap. Probably best to enjoy them before his vocal chords snap.
