With a sharp intake of breath, and a savage, stuttered guitar Bloc Party announce their return. Make no mistake, Octopus, first single from the long awaited, almost-didn’t-happen fourth album, is a killer of a way to come back. The drums are pounding tribal warfare, Kele’s voice switches from falsetto menace to London yelp with consumate style, and as a closer Russell wheels out a guitar solo that sounds like black hearted disco witches covering Daft Punk. We love it and can’t wait for more.
