London-based 4-piece Ligers drop a honey-soaked offering next month that will suit anyone who desires something breezy yet sturdy to waft along in the cider-soaked Summer air.
On side A we have ‘Break You’. It’s a swanky piece that avoids being wanky by throwing bits of grit over the Sepia undertones. A tauntingly upbeat chorus rises from a particularly beguiling bassline during the verse.
On the other side A you will find the more reflective ‘Goodbye’, a pained and bitter track. The chords are more forboding near the end, which contrasts effectively with Liz’s powerful yet delicate vocals.
The single will be released to download on Ligers’ Soundcloud page on May 27th. If you fancy celebrating then you can get down to the release party at Shacklewell Arms in Dalston on the 8th of May. If you don’t feel like celebrating, then go along anyway and cheer yourself up.
Give it a listen now!
