Taking their Krautrock ambitions to a logical (if slightly predictable) conclusion, Moon Duo have resung I Can See auf Deutsche and released the results as their latest single. In whatever language, the song chunters along; a psychedelic tunnel of ticking drum beats and hypnotic guitar cycles, blessed with a fine sense of restraint and release. I could listen to this kind of Suicide updating post punk action for weeks, and wish more band’s could knock it out this well. Still, would have been more of a surprise if they’d had a crack at performing it in Mandarin…
